The series consists of black & white and colour photographs, including original photos, copy prints and photo copies, taken or collected by Ian Thomson, of his family and of other residents of Milo and the surrounding area. The series includes many photos that are duplicates of what appear in Thomson’s historical writings.
Also included are the following framed photographs; panorama of Milo’s main street in 1928 (155cm wide x 15cm high); “Old Milo 1920” (46cm wide x 26 cm high); Hamlet of Milo pre-1927 with buildings numbered and identified (44cm side x 37cm high)

Series includes extensive film footage shot on-site in Nepal and on the Everest route throughout the expedition, video versions of the CanEverEx pre and post-expedition presentations including "Everest: The Dream, The Reality", an Air Canada pre-expedition in-flight documentary on Everest, and Everest-related news segments from Canadian and American news outlets.
