Handbooks

Series consists of the Students' Association handbook, later called "The Interpreter" (1983). Published annually, the handbook is a guide to student life and includes information on a number of things including housing, athletics, clubs, food services, financial assistance, clubs, copyright, daycare, the bookstore, etc.

Annual Reports

Series consists of annual reports and reports to the community which may contain an operational overview, financial highlights and summary of key activities.

Robert William Tannas Photograph Series

The series consists of photographs taken at town events, theatre productions, library/archives events, Remembrance Day services, Agricultural Society parades, Meanook Biological Station (Dominion Observatory), Edwin Parr Composite Community School graduations (1988, 1989), Alberta Pacific Environmental Impact Assessment Review Board meetings (1989), and four scrapbooks of clippings about Athabasca. Bob took photographs of the town's 75th anniversary proceedings. In 2009 Bob took 76 photographs of buildings in the Town of Athabasca and of the demolition of the Athabasca Community Centre. 2010 photos include the inside of the former and the new Buy-Low Foods store, and the demolition of the former store. Further donations include photos of potter Alfred Messerli, 1985 remodeling of Edwin Parr Composite High School, Calling River telegraph station, Pelican Settlement in 1979, 1973 Boyle High School Boys Curling team win provincials, Remembrance Day 2003, and author Holly (Holt) Kennedy.

Archaeology and early history of Yellowhead County

These records cover the history of the Yellowhead County region, including modern archaeological digs, details of voyageur expeditions through the area, and Aboriginal settlement. This series contains newspaper articles, photocopies of books and journal articles, photographs, handwritten notes of commentary and research, and a text essay on DVD.

1860-1900 Expeditions: Overlanders and CPR Survey

"These records cover the early expeditions into the Yellowhead area from 1860 to 1900, including the Overlanders group of settlers and early surveys by the Canadian Pacific Railway to expand the railroad through this area and into western Canada.
