"Sawmills Across the Smoky"

“Sawmills Across the Smoky” was researched by Stella Loewen and Fran Moore and written by Joan Bowman. Although it was initially printed as an individual coil-bound booklet, it was published in 2001 as the last chapter in Bridges to the Past.The series consists of research, first draft (including photographs) and final textual draft of the “Sawmills Across the Smoky” chapter in Bridges to the Past. Histories, stories and photographs are included of the following mills: Airth, Bartel, Bickell, Binks, Burroughs, Chapman, Croken, Dana, Dascalo, DeBolt, Jantz/Diemert, Dorscheid, Enns, Gerwatoski, Giesbrecht, Gitzel, Haldin, Halwa, Hystad, Isaac, Isaac/Esau, Jantz, Loewen, Big 6, We 3, Maile, Pete Moon, C. Moon, Newman, Nilsson, Norton, Nowry, Perry, Reimer, Scott, and Smith, with minor notes on other mills in the area. There are also notes on interviews with Gene & Grace Dana, Art & Marion Loewen, and Sam & Mabel Jantz.

"Women in Music" : administrative records

File consists of administrative material relating to the WIM. Includes receipts from donations/membership purchases, correspondence with members and stakeholders, promotional materials, newsletters, and material relating to the Board of Governors.

Series consists of recordings from Ina Dennekamp's radio program Women of Note. Includes recordings of music and interviews used in producing the program as well as recordings of full programs and program segments.

10th Banff International String Quartet Competition

Series consists of material related to the the 10th Banff International String Quartet Competition. It includes audio recordings of quartet performances, the score for the competition's imposed piece (Commedia dell'arte by Ana Sokolovic), promotional material, a video recording from the competition's lecture series, as well as a documentary film about the 2010 competition.

12th Banff International String Quartet Competition

Series consists of material related to the 12th Banff International String Quartet Competition. It includes audio recordings of quartet performances, the score for the competition's imposed piece (String Quartet No. 1 by Zosha Di Castri), promotional material, and video recordings of the competing quartets performing in the Rolston Recital Hall.
