The Athabasca River Interpretive Centre Study Task Force commissioned a feasibility study for an interpretive centre with IMC Consulting Group Inc in June 1990. The task force was comprised of Athabasca Mayor O. Hermanson and County Reeve R. A. Wilkinson, among others.
