The fonds consists of a book "Bowtell Tales...to 1976."There are 5 photographs including a class from Bowtell School, and Velma, Jean and Jimmie in 1936 in Moose Jaw. There are two photographs of Guy Mack and the 1949-50 Rochester Rockets boys baseball team, a 1950-51 certificate for the Rochester Boxing Club, 1950-1954 business licenses for Mack's Coffee Bar, and a ledger book dates 1948-1955. 20 photos of Lee Mack and Edward Risdale, Ed's brother Kenny and Dorothy Risdale and their four children, the LeGrand Store, CNR section house, Searle elevator and other Rochester, Alberta buildings; 18094-95, 18278-18297. There are CNR waybills for furniture shipped in 1959, 1959 and Edward Risdale's 1968 Alberta Social Credit League membership cards. The funeral home record for Guy Mack is also included.

Athabasca Archives Oral Interview Project collection

Volunteers at Athabasca Archives, the public archives at Athabasca’s Alice B. Donahue Library and Archives, created an oral interview project to capture the memories of some of the area’s senior citizens. Vi Kowalchuk, Gene Kowalchuk and Annie Rypien were the interviewers and they recorded 30 cassette tapes and transcriptions of the seniors’ recollections.

Donahue, Teddy Dunn, Frank Falconer, Judy Flax, Jane Gordon, Cynthia Graefe, Barbara Hunter, Joseph William Irwin, Doug and Heather Kariel, Jerry Little, Betty McDonald, Don McGladdery, Joseph Martynek, Marilyn Mol, Phylis Mort, Amanda and Erica Oldale, Viola Elizabeth Overholt (Jouston), Betty Pickett, Irene Robbins, Lydia Silkie, Kathleen Stafford, Linda Steppan, Robert Tannas, Kathy Traynor, David Yowney and Karen Zwarich. The students in a 1990/91 photograph of the Hutterite Colony School visiting the library are: Johnny, Rhoda, Debbie, Walter, Philip, Julia, Edward, Michelle, Steven, Aaron, and Albert Gross, Betty Stahl and Mrs. Phyliss Mort. Other materials transferred to the archives include an essay written by Nadine Molofy for the Correspondence School Branch in 1948-49 which also includes a photograph of W.H.Swift; the 1981 Canada census information on mother tongues spoken in the Athabasca area; and a program of the 3rd Spring Showcase of local talent library fundraiser in c2001. In 2003, photographs were taken when new carpeting was installed in the library and archives. A recent donation of planning materials for Athabasca Pottery Discovery Day, June 21, 2009 includes correspondence, budget, itineraries, media release, and poster proofs. Circulation records from October 1982 to November 2001.
