The fonds consists of records created by the Little Salmon/Carmacks Indian Band (later re-named the Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation). There are 36 transcripts from taped interviews of band members, conducted by Kathy Sam and Vera Charlie between April 8 and July 8, 1987, to gather biographies, reminiscences, and stories from band members and people associated with the community. The people interviewed were Kitty Bill, Victor Bill, Eva Billy, Bessie Blackjack, Stanley Blackjack, Annie Blanchard, Fred Blanchard, Howard Charlie, Kitty Charlie, Sara Charlie, Wilfred Charlie, Stanley Jonathon, Johnny Field, Gladys Johnny, Violet Johnny, Johnny McGundy, Annie Ned, Billy Peter, Renee Peters, Mary Roberts, Stanley Roberts, Peter Silverfox Sr., Suzie Skookum, Father John Paul Tanguay, Gertie Tom, Agnes Washpan, Lee Washpan, Lily Washpan, Walton Washpan, and Isadore (Shorty) Yukon. The interviews were used in the research for Ruth M. Gotthardt's report "A History of the Little Salmon/Carmacks Indian Band", December, 1987, which is included in the fonds. The fonds also includes a Little Salmon/Carmacks Cultural Centre Feasibility Study by Jackson and Johnson, March 1988. The study examines ways of preserving cultural and heritage traditions through the development of a cultural centre. A map of place names and cultural and land use is also included. The audio tape cassettes are recordings of interviews conducted by Dawn Charlie in 1995 in Carmacks with Violet and Billy Peter Johnnie, and May Roberts, Wilfred Charlie, Evelyn Skookum and Bessie Blackjack.
