The fonds consists of original photographs and postcards, ca.1900-1918, depicting sternwheelers, White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) trains, the residential school [Chooutla] at Carcross, Miles Canyon and views of Whitehorse including water delivery scenes. The textual records include a copy of the diary Martha Grace Watson wrote on her journey from Dyea, Alaska to Atlin, B.C. with her husband Matthew and their four children, March 10, 1899 - April 17th, 1899; a letter from Bill Watson to Miriam McTiernan of the Yukon Archives; and a letter from Frances Watson (Mrs. Bill Watson) to Miriam McTiernan which describes the first planes to come north in 1920 and land in Whitehorse.

The fonds contains the records of the Watson Lake Local Improvement District from 1967-1983, and include minutes and by-laws, financial records, correspondence and subject files, and maps and plans. The records are described in series reflecting the function of the organization. Series 1: Board and Council Records from 1967-1983, includes minutes of regular, special and annual general meetings of the Local Improvement District board, and by-laws nos 1-36. Series 2: Financial Records, 1967-1982. Series includes ledgers, assessment records and financial statements. Samples of routine financial data such as receipts, cheque stubs, invoices and bank statements are included for 1968-69 and 1978-79. Series 3: Correspondence and subject files, 1967-1979. The correspondence and other material was maintained in files organized alphabetically by subject. The files provide an overview of local government operations and functions. Series 4: Miscellaneous Records, 1978-1983. The series consists of some loose records that were not included with the subject files, and includes an electors list for 1978, quarry permits and a financial statement. Series 5: Media listings, 1974-1979. Maps and plans for various buildings and services.

Fonds consists of photographs of Dawson City, its citizens (especially government employees) and buildings, and Atlin, B.C. The photographers include Wolfe, Larss and Duclos, Hamilton, Ellingson and Cantwell. Many of the photographs were used in his book, "The Yukon Story". Textual records consist of personal papers of Walter Hamilton including letters to him from Victoria Faulkner and Margaret Ogilvie, photocopies of newspaper clippings about Hamilton, an annotated constitution for The Canadian Club, membership tickets for D.A.A.A., invitations to balls, business and campaign cards, a pass for the K.M.R. and a receipt for the Dawson Curling Club. Also included are pamphlets, programs and menus relating to Hamilton's stay in Dawson City.

Warrick Ivan Lowe fonds

The fonds consists of photographs of Warrick Ivan Lowe during his employment as engineer of the Whitehorse dam from 1958 to 1959. Images of Whitehorse include White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR), MacBride Museum, Old Log Church, Sam McGee's cabin, three-storey log house, sternwheeler, the Lowe home on Jarvis Street, and construction of the dam. Also included are scenes of Carcross, Dawson City, and Haines Junction, Lowe's wife, June, and their children, and various people.

The collection consists of copy prints taken of some of the glass lantern slides originally owned by Jimmy Elmer. Scenes show Klondike and Alaska scenes, ca. 1898-1913. There are views of stampeders, pack trains, tent camps, horse drawn sleighs, the Inside Passage, and Dawson area creeks. Many of the photographs were taken by Asahel Curtis.
