Abraham Peter fonds

This fonds consists of photographs taken by Abraham Peter of buildings in Old Crow, Yukon which may soon be destroyed (as of 1980). The photographs include views of an old Hudson's Bay Company (HBCo.) building, the old Community Hall, an old store, a number of log cabins and caches belonging to various individuals in Old Crow, houses, the Old Mission, an old Anglican Church and a bell which was once used by the school. Caption list provides historical background information about each building.

Aaro Aho collection

The collection consists of an unprocessed accession (94/36) which includes approximately 955 photographs, brochures, periodicals, newspaper clippings, certificates and a press release documenting Dr. Aaro Aho's exploration and field work in the Yukon, especially related to Dynasty, Cyprus Anvil, Aex and Grumm, Goda and Plata projects. The collection also contains a copy of Dr. Aho's unpublished manuscript, "Notes on Keno Hill", written ca. 1972. In 27 chapters he details the history of the Keno Hill Silver District.

The fonds consists of copies of four hand-written (and transcribed) letters Aaron Moulton wrote to his wife and children during the year he spent in the Yukon's Klondike from 1897-1898. Also included is a list of people mentioned in Aaron Moulton's letters.

The fonds consists of copy prints of photographs taken by Chooutla (Carcross) Residential School teacher A. Richard King of his students and their school life in and around Carcross, Yukon. Subjects include Mr. King, Principal Lawson, Vice-Principal Walters, supervisors Miss Fennell, Miss Barstow and Beverly Bear, the school, tobogganing, and games and activities during Winter Carnival Days and Sports Day. Also included are images of the Matthew Watson General Store and tourists waiting to board the White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) train at the Carcross station. Many of the students in the photographs are identified including Helen Malcolm, Dorothy Johnnie, Judy Hager, Vivian Smith, Velma Silas, Ben Johnson, Nancy Tizya, Virginia Simon and Ann Smith.

A.K. Schellinger fonds

The fonds consists of photographs taken by A.K. Schellinger and postcards he collected between 1897 and 1940. The albums primarily relate to silver mining operations in the Mayo - Keno Hill area and gold mining in the Dawson City - Klondike area. One of the album photographs is among the first colour photographs of Dawson City. It was taken in 1912 on lumiere colour plate and later re-photographed on Kodachrome and processed onto Kodacolor prints without artificial colouring. The remaining 58 photographs in the fonds were taken between 1898 and 1935. They depict Dawson City (1897-1899), Mount Freegold near Carmacks, sternwheelers, North Fork, Selwyn Creek, gold mining at Quartz Creek, Inspiration Point, the White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) railway, sailing up the Inside Passage in 1912, and people including Bill Lingham, Jack Carpentier, Bill Forbes, Clyde Wann, Tom McKay, Joe Walsh, Joe Menzies and George Devore. There are also postcards of caribou herds, dogsleds, and one dogsled with a moose on it in front of a taxidermist's cabin. The textual records consist of a 2 page biographical sketch of A.K. Schellinger by his son Ken, and a 4 page "Forward" prepared by John Scott.

A.C. (Nick) Nixon fonds

The scrapbook (which includes 150 photographs and newspaper clippings) and individual photographs depicts images along the Alaska Highway during its construction and completion, as well as scenes of Yukon and Alaska. There are also interesting shots of Major Nixon and his friends at social events and in their Whitehorse barracks. The textual records include newspaper clippings collected by Nixon; Northwest Service Command (NWSC) correspondence, minutes, notes, memos and reports; and a description of the Alaska Highway, possibly a news release.

A.B. Allard fonds

The fonds consists of a photograph album put together by the Allard family. The photographs show the family and their friends, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) compound, residences, officers, panoramic views of Dawson City, picnics at Rock Creek, Bear Creek Mining Camp, the Canadian No. 4 Dredge, Dayo Hill Mine, the 1925 Dawson City flood, and Ross River. The last twenty photographs are of prominent Canadians, including Mr. Justice Charles Macaulay of the Yukon Territory, Prime Minister R.B. Bennett and Winnipeg Mayor R. Webb, and Prince Edward and Prince George at the Winnipeg train station in 1929.

A.C. McCullum fonds

The fonds consists of photographs of the Anglican missions at Rampart House, Old Crow, Lapierre House, Shingle Point, and Herschel Island. Also included are shots of Rev. McCullum and congregations and the building of a new church at Old Crow, Yukon. The fonds also includes copies of three diaries belonging to Reverend Arthur Creighton McCullum covering the periods: January 1, 1928 to December 31, 1932; January 1, 1933 to December 29, 1937; and January 1, 1938 to January 7, 1943. The diaries cover Rev. McCullum's assignments at Old Crow, Rampart House, Mayo and Dawson City.
