The fonds consists of a play written in 1967 by the Grade 7 students commemorating Canada's centennial, a class photo of Miss Scott's Grade 3 classroom in 1966-67, and a book produced by the 1986-87 STAGE program (focus on literacy) entitled " Our Book of Dogs".

Four interviews were conducted in 1977 as part of a social studies project. Nine interviews were conducted in April,1992 by an English 20 class. Thirteen people were interviewed by eleven students regarding their arrival in Athabasca, their careers, their values and retirement. Interviewees include: Todd Richards, Hugo Carlson, Jettie Willey (Day), James (Jim) Appleby, Mary Donald (Miller), John Guay, Stefani Baldwin (Staszewski), Ted Matijohn, Annette Weinrich, Pearl Matijohn (Solomon), Anna Eherer (Kroneder), Nellie Onyschuk (Dac), and William Doerkson.

Wood and Miss Easten; Class of 1920 and 1931; and a photo of the Brick School; two issues of student publication "The Gleaner," 1937 and 38 (92.06), Athabasca High School 1942 crest, a 1950 school program for the school's celebration of the 5th anniversary of the United Nations entitled "There Shall Be Peace," the program for the 1953 Variety Show; and a copy of "Whispers: Official Publication of the Athabasca High School," November 1953. In Jan.1976 a press release announced that the Athabasca Public School was designated as an Alberta Registered Historic Resource. There is a set of blueprints for the 1984 historic sites restoration.

The fonds consists of some of Jack Appleby's poetry; some is in his hand writing. The photographs are of the Athabasca ski jump hill taken about 1949. "Literary Works of Ted Appleby, " April 1951 includes poetry, essays and short stories; an assignment for teacher Janet Martin who taught in Athabasca in the 1940s.

The audio cassettes contain information on the Bissell family, logging operations and personnel.The artifact is a heart-shaped pottery ashtray, with brown and blue glaze, manufactured by Athabasca Clay Products.
