George Flint and Parents

George Flint came to the Peace Country in 1909 with his brother Victor and a group of people from Ontario when he was 21 years old. In 1910 their parents, Mr. & Mrs. Paul Flint, joined them at Beaverlodge.

Victor and Frances Flint had three daughters: Laura Pauline, Madelon, and Frances Elizabeth. Pauline passed away in 1935 while a student at Olds Agricultural College at the age of 20.

The Flint daughters traveled to Lower Beaverlodge school with pony and cart in the summer, and horse and cutter in the winter. Here, neighbour Helen Stegmeir is in the cutter.

Living in Sexsmith

After completing college, Beth Flint worked as records keeper for the Grande Prairie Cooperative Livestock Marketing Association in Sexsmith.

Crescent Grove Farm

After working in Toronto for several years, Beth returned home. This photograph shows a winter scene of Beth in the garden at Crescent Grove in 1943.

After graduating from Alberta College in Edmonton, Beth worked in Toronto at Dearborn Chemical Co. Ltd., Goodwin Harris Co. Ltd., and the Royal Muskoka Hotel near Rosseau, Ontario.
