Fonds consists of business, professional and personal papers reflecting E. de Mille's activities in the bookselling trade. Includes the following material relating to Evelyn de Mille Books Ltd.: correspondence (1961-1975); material relating to staff, advertising, statistics and finances; book catalogues; scrapbooks; newsclippings; newsletters; and miscellaneous material. Material relating to the Canadian Booksellers Association: correspondence (1957-1978), brochures, financial and other reports, contracts, press releases, policy statements and materials relating to conventions and seminars. Personal papers including correspondence, family papers and material documenting professional and volunteer activities. Fonds also includes an appendix, Acc 676/00.7, consisting of 12 audio cassette tapes (90 minutes each) recording interviews of Evelyn de Mille by Kristin Burnett which document E. de Mille's life focusing primarily on the post-war period after the establishment of her first bookstore. A detailed guide to the oral history including a project description, a chronological sketch of E. de Mille's life, a subject guide and a subject guide index for the interviews accompanies this accession.

The fonds consists of materials created by Evelyn Rogers between 1940 and 1980. The fonds consists of Evelyn Rogers' membership certificates for various organizations and photographs of Athabasca and various events including: a tug-of-war at the Athabasca Fair in 1916; the executive of The Northern Alberta Baseball League - Jack Mackie, Jeff Edwards and Byron Bellamy; Fairhaven baseball team in 1946; Amber Valley baseball team in 1946; crowd in Athabasca Community Centre in [1955]; and 6 photos of the opening of the Athabasca Bridge in 1952 which include Byron Bellamy, Nick Doroshenko, Hon. Gordon Taylor, and Jean Baptiste Gambler. These 6 photographs were taken by Bob Preece's Photo Shop. The artifacts include: Hugo Carlson's pocket watch, Byron W. Bellamy's tie clip, a radio, a hat pin, and printing plates for the Athabasca Public Library. Two panoramic photographs are included in this fonds. One is of the United Farmers of Alberta at the 14th annual convention in Calgary, Jan.17, 1922. It measures 20x140cm. The other is a view of Strathcona Street, Athabasca, [1913] facing north. It was photographed by Voldeng and Bolton of 255 Jasper East, Edmonton and measures 21x169 cm.

The fonds consists of a 1922 letter from the Grosmont Municipal District regarding quarantine regulations for scarlet fever: two store receipt books for 1947-1948; and municipal tax receipts for 1955, 1956 and 1959. There are four calendars from local stores and the Aug.4, 2005 issue of Western Producers Western People which has an article on the Major family "100 Century Farm". Allan James tax receipt for 1927 is included.
