The fonds consist of a collection of historical photographs, maps personal papers, and business receipts which were gathered for the publication. Many of the illustrations in Grooming the Grizzly were returned to their owners, and are therefore not in this collection; on the other hand historical documents which were never incorporated into the publication, are part of this collection.

The fonds consists of records relating to the management of the Buffalo Lakes Community Society from 1946-1999. The fonds is divided into seven series based on type and content: Minutes, Financial Records, Annual Returns, Legal Papers, Insurance Records, Correspondence, and Photographs.
Most of the records were not arranged upon arrival and an order by date and record type has been established by the archivist.

The fonds consists of six minute books created after the August 1945 re-organization of the Buffalo Lakes Ladies Club. The minutes include records of monthly and annual meetings, lists of members, financial statements, financial ledgers which show the monthly activities, and documents relating to events which the club organized.

The fonds consists of a scrapbook containing news clippings and photographs documenting the formation and activities of the Business & Professional Women's Club of Grande Prairie from the initial meetings held in the fall of 1960 to 1972. The fonds consists of one minute books which records the members and activities of the organization from March 7, 1966 to June 1, 1974.

This fonds contains records related to the activities of the Camp Tamarack Association, headquartered in Grande Prairie.
