The fonds consists of board minutes and annual reports; records relating to fundraising campaigns; admissions records and personal files of children; attendance registers, yearbooks, etc. for the school run by the Home; records of extra-curricular activities of the children; financial records and tax returns; architectural plans and other records re the construction and maintenance of buildings; personal papers of the Wood family; and extensive photographs of the children, staff and activities of the Home.
The fonds consists of records relating to the Gass family. They are divided into four series: Ignatz and Katherine Gass, Thomas Gass, Gass family miscellaneous papers and Gass family photographs. There was no discernable order when the records arrived and an order was created by the archivist.
The fonds consists of school memorabilia and paper artefacts from Betty’s childhood, building the Welter family home, and her volunteer activities; certificates and news clippings detailing Betty’s activities with the Canadian Red Cross, and a book of minutes from the Local Association (Mother’s Auxiliary) of Guides, Brownies and Rangers from 1965-1970; a writing portfolio of biographies of the Smart family and Jack Welter, as well as memories of incidents which happened in her childhood, her teenage years and years as a young wife including income tax forms from 1943-1973; a wide subject range of photographs, from local Grande Prairie scenes and people to the construction of the Alaska Highway; and research files containing material researched for the archives: Miller’s Taxi; Teen Town; and a publication "The Inside Track" which traces the history of Union Tractor which Betty's husband Jack worked for. An accrual in 2010 consists of plans and blueprints of the Welter house and their duplex.
The fonds consists of Maude's personal papers, records as president of the Alberta Council on Child and Family Welfare, and records of the many organizations in which she was involved. The fonds also consists of Harold's personal papers, records as secretary of the Southern Alberta Pioneers' and Old Timers' Association, and his speeches, radio broadcasts, writings and photographs related to the history of southern Alberta.
The fonds consists of personal papers of Mike Wendelboe and Mary Wendelboe, including their certificates and correspondence; Mary's genealogical and fictional writings; family memorabilia; genealogical articles written by Clara Sparks; and photographs of the Wendelboe family, the farm at Barons, Starline, and various Sparks, Lund, Sears, Forster and Slaymaker relatives.
The fonds consists of a photograph of the home of William and Clara Paterson; copies of photographs of family members and their businesses; photographs and photocopies of vital events records; photocopies of compiled genealogical information and articles from local history publications.
The fonds consists primarily of the records of Harry Mackid and L. Stewart Mackid, including appointment and account books (1906-1920); reminiscences and family tree; medical and masonic certificates (1880-1918); and photographs of the Mackid and Meyer families, Calgary and medical conventions.
The fonds consists of records relating to the Hodgson family. The records have been divided into nine series; John Fulton personal & financial; Fulton Lea & Sophia Hodgson personal, financial and correspondence; family photographs from Kinistino and Hythe; Edna Hodgson's scrapbook; Hodgson's Mill; H.O.P. Lake/One Island Lake and Hodgson family tree. The records have been arranged by the Archivists by content and chronology into the various series and files. The records came from so many individual sources, the overall original order of the records had been obscured. The Archivists imposed the order now shown by the records.
Includes information on farming and dairies. There are several memory pages with stories about: a badger, the ice house and the yoo-hoo phone. There are two pages taken from the St.Paul history book about Freda Gosselin teaching at Many Lakes School. The Hauzenberger family story is written about in this book, also.
