The fonds consists of a photograph album primarily containing photographs taken around the time Earl Grey (Governor General of Canada from 1904 to 1911) visited Edmonton to lay the cornerstone for the new Legislative Assembly Building on October 1, 1909; images, 23 in all, include of the laying of the cornerstone, decorated arches for the Governor General's visit, a marching band, the boys' brigade, Edmonton Mounted Rifles, the City of Edmonton riverboat, as well as the Clover Bar and Low Level bridges and various buildings such as the Y.W.C.A, First Presbyterian Church, Government House, Norwood School, the Exchange Mart, the Edmonton Club, the General Hospital, Alexander Taylor School, the Empire Block and the Chisholm Block.
