Anna Marsh (Bredin)

Image is a studio portrait of Anna B. Marsh. It was taken while Anna was at St Peter's Mission, Hay River, Great Slave Lake in May 1903. She is wearing a fur coat, beaded gloves, and is holding snowshoes. This photograph was in a frame with two others, 2005.011.01 and 2005.011.03. The back of the frame said "Mrs. Anna Bredin - Twin Shacks, Bear Lake, Alberta, 1911, 2 Cree Indian Boys - For Grande Prairie Museum".

Annellen School with students.

Annellen School District 4111 was organized in 1922 and a log school built north of Hythe in 1923. It was still in use when this photo of students at Annellen School was taken. Annie Glaubitz

Annie Glaubitz arrived in the Crooked Creek area in 1929 with two sons, Herb and Bill, who were 10 and 5 years old at the time. She filed on the NE 24-71-26-W5 and farmed her own land. Here she is with a load of bundles about 1940.
