The fonds consists of materials pertaining to Alberta Nelson's life in Edmonton at the beginning of the 20th century and includes images of the Strathcona Military Hospital; a group of individuals in front of the Legislature Building; the first Alberta Music Festival group photograph held at Thistle Rink in Edmonton; the "Temple of Fame" Pageant held at the Bijou Theatre in Edmonton; Dr. McCarney Wilson and a short biography of Dr. Wilson; Alberta College Student's Music Group at McDougall Church in Edmonton, and a Professor Chrisholm's Violin Class.

Fonds also includes plans, drawings, photographs and a slide which depict various railway equipment and members of the association. This fonds has been arranged into the following series: Canadian Railroad Historical Association Rocky Mountain Branch (1962-1990) and Alberta Pioneer Railway Association (1959-1996).

Additionally, the fonds includes two plays from Edmonton playwright and director Brad Fraser as well as two plays by Canadian actor Paul Gross, known for his work on the television series Due South.

Alberta School Broadcasts collection

The collection consists of two Alberta School Broadcast songbooks: "Sing and Play" from 1954 -1955, by Jane McIlrena and "Music Makers" from 1960 - 1961 by Hazel Robinson. The collection also contains 33 transcription discs created for Alberta School Broadcasts featuring music and narrated books such as Ivanhoe. The discs also include broadcasts featuring information on explorers of the Northwest Territories including David Thompson, James Cook Henry Kelsey, Samuel Hearne, and Anthony Henday. The transcription discs date from 1948 to 1949. The audio cassettes consist of several episodes from the following series: World of Today, Alberta at Work, We Live in Alberta, Alberta Album, Adventure Time, and Pioneer Communities. These episodes likely date from the 1970s.
