This collection consists of photographs from the Dawson City Museum and Historical Society and is made up of several accessions, which have been arranged into series. The first three series are primarily images of Nome, Alaska, created by some of the most well-known gold rush photographers, including Joseph Duclos and Eric Hegg. Also included are images of Dawson City and Mayo, of which five were taken by William S. (Bill) Hare. Subjects include ships and shipping in Nome harbour, 1899-1909; camps, street scenes, the railroad and activity relating to the Nome gold rush. Photographs in series 1 were brought to the museum by Father Bobillier. Series 4 and 5 are primarily photographs of Dawson City and include commercial and institutional buildings, 1900-1909, mines and mining activity in the creeks around Dawson City; portraits of unidentified individuals and many of the Klondike "personalities". Other subjects include sports, the North West Mounted Police (NWMP) and the Yukon Field Force. Series 4 is from an album by H. A. Darms; series 5 consists of a selection of photographs of Dawson City and area, from a number of photographers. The textual material consists of two manuscripts written by Sally Robinson prepared for an exhibit on the Athapaskan people. The collection has been arranged into 6 series based on accession. This collection consists of photographic portraits collected by the Dawson City Museum, Yukon from various and unknown sources, and arranged according to subject. The portraits have been divided into five separate categories which include; 20 amateur portraits with identification, 13 unidentified professional portraits, 11 card mounted studio portraits with photographers imprint all from studios outside the Yukon, 9 card mounted studio portraits all from Yukon studios, and 11 well known Yukon personalities (including Donald Purdy, Bishop Stringer, Robert Service, Geo. Johansson, Harry Leamon and Black Mike, Archie Black, Klondike Kate, George Dawson and Xhuzume (a.k.a. Madame Zoom).
This collection consists of 36 hand coloured lantern slides that make up four separate slide presentation stories. These slide presentations have 2 pages of sheet music with sing along chorus and music scores to accompany the slide presentation. The four slide presentations are titled, "Skipper Susie Green", "When the Autumn Leaves are Falling", "Neath the Old Corn Tree, Sweet Estelle", and "It's got to be some one I love". None of these slide presentation are complete. These presentations were shown at Dawson City, Yukon.

Social groups represented include Freemasons, Independant Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), Yukon Order of Pioneers (YOOP), Shrine Ladies, Salvation Army, Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire (IODE) and Yukoners Association. Events represented include summer solstice of 1904, Orpheum Theatrical Co. banquet of 1906, Anglican Synod of 1915, Prince Philip's visit to Dawson City in 1959 as well as wedding and funeral procession.
