There is a photo of the 1934 train wreck at Meanook, AB. There is a poster for the 4th annual Athabasca Fair and Rodeo, Aug. 2-3, c 1965.

Dr. Joseph Boulanger fonds

The fonds consists of a photograph of Dr. Boulanger and an article which mentions the following names: M.Jeffries, Bishop Young, Father Beaudry, Leslie Wood, Russell Bannerman, Jock Keith, Jim Wood, Joseph Cousineau (butcher), Isaie Gagnon, Napoleon Gagnon, P.Bellerose, Jack Secord and the Russell Brothers, Jack Lessard and August L'Hirondelle, J.L.Cote, Captain C.D.A.Barber, and James Cornwall. The poem written in Dec. 1907 by Max Pelluet was presented at Dr. Boulanger's departure from Athabasca. Another photo shows Dr. Boulanger in Jasper in 1942. There is also a postcard photo of Jean-Baptiste Boulanger in Paris in 1937.

D. Torquil MacDonald fonds

This cassette is a taped letter to the Athabasca Archives by D. Torquil MacDonald of Roswell, New Mexico, relating the story of his foster sister, Sadie Marcella Gervais. One side of the cassette relates to Mr. MacDonald's life story and to family genealogy.

Soper family fonds

The fonds consists of 120 pages written by Frank's daughter, Florence (Soper) Roberts, 1914- about the Soper family. This was later reworked and published in Western People, a supplement to the Western Producer, in 9 installments from Jan. to Mar. 1984. Three of the photographs from Frank's studio are views of Athabasca in [1911]. Two are mounted and hand tinted. Nine other photographs are in postcard format of buildings around Athabasca [1911] including : cemetery in 1911, Grand Union Hotel, Dominion Day, Athabasca River fire patrol boat, Hudson's Bay store, Revillon Freres Store, Cote and Smith surveyors, the telegraph building, St. Matthews Anglican church, and Massey Harris Farm Implements building. There is a portrait of Charles, Marion and son, Ernest c.1910.

The fonds consists of a Sept. 15-16, 1916 exhibitors ticket for the Athabasca & District Agricultural Association Ltd. 1924 tax notice for M.D. of Cartier, No.637; and an invitation to meet Prime Minister Baldwin. Also included are items belonging to Rayner's father, William Eusby Whiteley: a 1910 Overseas Club membership booklet and a business card advertising W.E.Whiteley Builders' and Plasterers' Sand, Perryvale Sand Pit. The photographs are of Rayner in 1908 and of his house being moved 3 miles east of Colinton.
