The fonds consists of materials created or collected by Roderick Cook of Edmonton and dating from 1912 to 1969. The fonds consists of programmes from concerts and theatrical presentations including 1912 commencement exercises of the Edmonton Public Schools, the Edmonton Symphony, the Little Theatre, the Empire Theatre, the Edmonton Civic Opera Company, the Edmonton Philharmonic Orchestra, Sunday Musical Series at the Jasper Park Lodge, and air force and navy revues among others collected by Roderick Cook.
The fonds consists of records pertaining to the Edmonton Public Welfare Board from 1914 to 1925. The records include minutes, reports, finances, correspondence, and by-law. Also included in the fonds are minutes, reports, and cases dealt with by the Visiting Committee, later known as the Advisory Committee, and minutes from the Committee on Unemployment.
