The fonds consists of records used, maintained, and created by the Alberta Music Industry Association dating from 1987 to 1993 including office files consisting of correspondence, reports, press releases, resumes, mailing lists, membership lists pertaining to members, associations, and events; files related to the presentation of ARIA awards consisting of accounts, reports, forms, correspondence, contracts, and planning notes; and records pertaining to artists including artist biographies with accompanying video and sound recordings.

The collection consists of advertisements for automobiles; farm machinery; household appliances; theatres, circuses, and entertainments; food and drink; political meetings; tobacco, cigarettes and liquor; clothing; general merchants; land and real estate sales throughout Alberta; sale of lots in Calgary; and the Calgary Stampede. Includes front pages about the Titanic sinking, first Alberta Legislature, and other stories.
The fonds consists of photographs which were selected from a collection of material from a number of sources including Midnight Twilight Tourism, Points North, Alberta North and Athabasca County Tourism.
