Action Poetry Uptown Theatre : [Nat Christie Poetry Jam master video recordings]

Sub-series consists of raw video footage of the Nat Christie Poetry Jam, held at the Uptown Theatre in Calgary, and featuring performances by Action Poetry participants (including Dasez Tempo, Richie D, John Sobol, Clifton James, Meryn Cadell, Terrence Crane, Gunargie O'Sullivan, Greg Young-Ing, Alex Ferguson, Ahdri Mandiela and her daughter, and Kedrick James) and students from schools who participated in the Nat Christie Poetry Day workshops.

Administrative

The sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of all branches of the C. S. Hook & Sons business, including businesses run by the company and businesses related to the company. The records include a 1943 agreement with Bulova Watch Company, a 1951 construction contract, 1945 and 1948 purchase agreements, a 1953 partnership agreement, business licenses and related material, a 1965 Board of Industrial Relations Inspector’s Report, Alberta Labour Act regulations, a 1958 Chamber of Commerce membership card, an application for rent reduction, an unsigned lease for a Dawson Creek location, 1958 Retail Merchants of Dawson Creek meeting minutes, notes on a possible expansion to Fort St. John and a 1959 newspaper clipping describing the expansion, records relating to the British Columbia Social Services Tax Act, and blank forms and letterhead.

The records have been arranged according to subject and date and divided into files by the archivist.

Aerial photographs subseries

Subseries consists of vertical and oblique photographs of St. Albert and surrounding areas, including Sturgeon County and north Edmonton. Vertical aerials depict a view of St. Albert neighborhoods and streets. Oblique aerials include a view of buildings and businesses, parks and recreation facilities, schools, construction and development of streets and neighborhoods.

AFVAA annuals

Subseries consists of seven annuals (1991-1999) containing records documenting the history of the AFVAA and its activities related to the Indigenous Arts Program at The Banff Centre. The annuals contain records such as the AFVAA constitution and by-laws (AB1a.1), incorporation documents (AB1a.1), meeting minutes, policy and programming papers, organizational profiles, reports (annual, final, grant), runners' notes, correspondence, press releases, press articles, program flyers and postcards.

AFVAA projects

Subseries consists of records pertaining to six collaborative projects produced by the AFVAA and The Banff Centre between 1993 and 1997: the Native Net Project (1993), the Self Government Public Service Announcement videos (1993-1994), the From Drum Beats to Drum Bytes symposium (1993-1994), the Winter Village festival (1996), the Truthsayers seminar (1996), and the Tapahchimoona screenwriters' seminar (1997).

Records contained in this subseries include: background and discussion papers, grant documents, correspondence and memos, budgets, press kits, press articles, final reports, program flyers and brochures.

Agendas, Minutes, Financials

This subseries contains documents related to the running of the Wapiti Striders Road Running Club as a non-profit society. They include AGM agendas, minutes, correspondence, incorporation into a society paperwork, and financial statements.
