The fonds consists of documents relating to the operation of Two Rivers School District 3497. Included in this collection are executive records, assessment and taxation books and financial records, as well as student censuses and daily registers. Also included are documents relating to personnel, curriculum and school activities, supplies and operations; and files of correspondence between Two Rivers School District and the Grande Prairie School Division, the Department of Education and the Department of Municipal Affairs. Printed matter includes the 1937 School Act, Financial Statements from Grande Prairie School Division 14, and issues of the Alberta School Trustee.
The fonds consists of one minute book from 1920-1926 which detail the decisions and activities of UFA Local 376. Inside the rear cover of the minute book is a list of all the members who bought binder twine through the UFA for the 1926 harvest.
The fonds consists of a written history of U.G.G. in Sexsmith compiled by D.H. Fraser in 1985. It includes a list of the U.G.G. managers at Sexsmith from 1925 to 1985, a list of the Chairmen, Secretaries and other members who were involved with Local #423, and some newspaper articles regarding the opening of the 1964 elevator.
This fonds contains records related to the Grimm, Vader, and Scott families. The material is largely concerned with time spent in Rycroft but this fonds also contains records created in Nebraska, Spirit River, and Calgary. The records consist of approximately 1500 photographs and negatives depicting farm life, school classes, locations, and people; newspaper clippings, pamphlets; posters; 2 family histories; 2 undated and unlabeled photograph albums; account books; and certificates.
The fonds has been arranged into the following series: Vader Family (1800-1980), Grimm family (1800-1980), and Ora and Edith [Vader] Grimm (1908-2008).
The fonds consists of copies of correspondence (and transcripts of the copies) between the Veterans Volunteer Reserve (VVR) of Eagleham and District and headquarters in Edmonton. The correspondence includes Unit Commanders reports regarding parades, intelligence work and miscellaneous information; letters about fundraising and recruitment to the VVR; and reports on investigations by members in cooperation with the RCMP: a N.A.R. cook molesting children, pro-Nazi sympathisers, subversive talk and activities such as discouraging young men from joining the army, farm boys unfairly claiming exemptions, people cheating on income tax, abuse of the rationing system, non-cooperation with VVR activities, and Jehovah's Witness activities. A good deal of effort to obtain convictions appears to have been expended by at least one active member with the encouragement of the provincial headquarters, and entrapment is openly discussed as a means of getting convictions. Correspondence from the platoon commander indicates a strong anti-French sentiment, and there are reports naming young French men who have applied for farming exemptions but are not actively farming their land, resulting in their exemptions being withdrawn. The collection also includes a letter registering disatisfaction with the leadership of the platoon commander and a patriotic poem written by Rita J. Powers about the work of the Veterans Volunteer Reserve.
