Pierre Lozeron family fonds

The fonds consists of Lozeron family photographs; personal papers and correspondence of each member of the immediate family -- Pierre, Dora Koberg Lozeron, Paul, Homer and Andre; farm documents from as early as 1915; farm account books from the 1930s to the 1960s; farming information from the 1950s and 1960s files according to the UGG filing system; and correspondence from their extended family members in Switzerland, friends and family members in Canada and the United States. The correspondence dates back to 1910, when the Lozeron boys first left Switzerland.

The fonds consists of four Grande Prairie Artificial Breeding Association charts for Herd Breeding Records at the Pivert farm from 1960-1968; some tickets from Western Animal Breeders Service detailing cows that were bred by AI for the Pivert Bros from 1969-1973; and an undated "When To Breed" chart from the Grande Prairie Artificial Breeding Association Ltd. The herd breeding record shows the name of the cow, its registration number, breeding dates, sire used and payment of the service.

Postman family fonds

The fonds consists of the personal and business (farm) records of three generations and multiple members of the Postman family including those related to taxes, debt, investments and banking, purchases, and general finances, personal and business correspondence, land, livestock, crops, wars and military service, health, automobiles, family life, and religion. The fonds also includes family photographs.

The fonds is divided into six series: Financial Records, Correspondence, Farm Records, Personal Records, Clippings, and Photographs.

The records were originally housed in a series of scrapbooks, with some loose records and photographs accompanying them. In the absence of a discernible original order, the records were organized by topic, then chronologically by the Archivist. Lunde family records (see fonds 517) were removed prior to arrangement.

The fonds is divided into three series: Personal Papers, Photographs, and Booklets. It has been arranged by the Archivist by record type, then chronologically.

The fonds consists of personal papers including a biography written by the donor, letters from Robert's mother and 13 family photographs; medical records including receipts for payment to hospitals and pharmaciies; legal documents; and financial records including property tax notices and receipts, an account book and pay stubs.

The fonds consists of 65 photographs relating to the history of the Rorem, Fimrite and Ronning families, Valhalla Center, Valhalla Luthern Church, and Valhalla School and newspaper articles relating to the same. Also included is a copy of Lyman's Teaching Cetificate, 1911 and a copy of 1915 Rules for Teachers.

Fonds also includes a promotional pamphlet, "Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of common diseases of live stock" by George W. Bell, D.V.D., V.S.

The fonds consists of two small diaries with a few brief entries, dated 1912-1915, concerning trips on the Edson Trail, lists of supplies and notes on grain and teams; one account book detailing the dates, customers, amounts of feed and prices charged in their feed-grinding business from 1919-1929; letters, telegrams and notes concerning Donald’s death and the settling of his estate, including the selling of Glen Nevis, 1962-64; 2 blank postcards from Quebec, 1 from Doncaster England, and 1 of a Scottish home, possibly Glen Nevis.

Sexsmith UFA Local No. 204 fonds

The fonds consists of the 1920 incorporation documents of UFA Local 204; one Hall Account Book detailing expenses, revenue and shareholders from 1918 to 1933; and some loose pages including the contract and estimates for the new hall in 1934. In the Hall Account book there are a few brief minutes of decisions made by the trustees.
