William White fonds

The fonds consists of a manuscript entitled "Experiences in the Yukon" written by White in 1964. In it he recounts his experiences coming from Vancouver and Seattle to Skagway and Whitehorse, staking his claim, and working in the banks. Photographs show White, retired in Vancouver; the Bank of Commerce in Skagway after an explosion during an attempted robbery in 1902. There is also a supplement to the manuscript written by Dr. O.S. Longman.

Winifred McLellan fonds

The fonds consists of original photographs of Winifred McLellan, Gordon McLellan, Miss Zinckan and Miss Fuchlin (possibly teachers) and other friends in the Dawson City, Yukon area. Textual records include a Dawson Student Register for 1903-1904, correspondence from "Winnie" 1899-1905, her diary 1906, newsclippings from 1939 and 1942, and a biographical sketch of Winifred McLellan written by her daughter.

William Mollett fonds

The fonds consists of copies of letters written by William Mollett. In one, dated April 29 1929, he writes about his life, including the time he spent in the Yukon. William describes the two winters mining different claims in the Klondike Gold Fields. At one point he worked for Ezra Meeker on Eldorado Creek. He describes his mining accident and the attempts to fix his broken hip. Also included are two letters he wrote to his sister, (one in 1898), describing his life in the Klondike.

The fonds consists of microfilm copy of records from William Oakden's horseshoeing and blacksmith business. The records are mainly from financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, statement sheets and cheques, as well as letters, business cards and a Yukon Order of Pioneers (YOOP) membership card.

William Peter fonds

The fonds consists of images of life in the Yukon, 1901 to 1904. There are several views of people, including Skookum Jim, buildings at Whitehorse and Hootalinqua, and river scenes with sternwheelers and smaller boats. Mr. Peter's son provided some of the caption information for the photographs.

William Moore fonds

The fonds consists of a copy of a manuscript of Moore's and his son's adventures, "From Peru to Alaska", between 1848 and 1912. The author is unknown but may be the son Moore travelled with. The paper mentions many of the places and individuals encountered in their travels. Included is a copy of a letter from Clarence L. Andrews to Captain Moore (presumably one of William Moore's sons), December 15, 1931, concerning the return of Moore's scrapbook.

The fonds consists of photographs copied from William Pathman's originals of scenes of Yukon construction projects on which he worked. Fonds also consists of a poem, liquor and driving permits and employment cards.

The fonds consists of a copy of a typed transcript of a diary kept by William John Park. In his diary, Mr. Park describes his trip from Helena, Montana to Dawson City, Yukon and his return trip home.

William MacBride fonds

The fonds consists of manuscripts and correspondence written by MacBride and a microfilm copy of his 250+ page scrapbook of newspaper clippings, photographs, correspondence and articles of Yukon history, covering the years 1900-1955. The scrapbook includes an extensive pictorial history of the Yukon sternwheelers, information on the White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR), clippings about the Yukon Historical Society, the MacBride Museum, and William D. MacBride, articles on the Taku Tram, the White Pass Stage Line, pioneer aviation, the construction of the Alaska Highway, Soapy Smith, dog teams and many pictures of Whitehorse, Dawson City and mining. Also included in the scrapbook are extracts from the White Pass and Yukon Route River Division Daily Logs, 1903-1952; a collection of poetry written about the Yukon; and a 1933 Whitehorse census which includes a list of voters, children attending school, and infants not yet of school age. His personal correspondence is with Mr. C.J. Vitquain, a retired purser of the sternwheeler "The Yukoner", in which he writes about the sternwheeler, and attaches an original 1900 receipt for ship wages he was paid by the Canadian Development Company, and mentions the 1951 International Yukoners Reunion in San Francisco. The manuscript "Yukon Stage Line", written in 1945, and revised in 1951, is a brief history of official land and water routes between Whitehorse and Dawson City, dealing mainly with White Pass and Yukon Route's horse-drawn "Royal Mail Service", including a list of rest posts and their distance from Whitehorse. Two portraits are included titled: "Mrs. Simmons Oldest Known Indian" and "Dick MaGami". An unprocessed accession 92/72 consists of a collection of books, brochures, correspondence, newspaper and magazine articles photographs collected or written by William MacBride.
