Violet Kowalchuk fonds

The fonds consists of a 1976 university assignment on the Richmond Park District, photographs relating to the Nov. 1994 launching of the history book "Reflections from North of the River", and photographs from the Feb. 1995 dog-sled postal run from Athabasca to Edmonton to commemorate Edmonton's bicentennial. There are also 9 photographs taken in 1992 of the Alberta Pacific Forest Industries mill site.

Demchuk and Evasiuk family fonds

The fonds consists of Alberta provincial business licenses dated 1941-1979 (not complete); Town of Athabasca business licenses dated 1978-2007; bicycle sales records for 1956-1958, 1963-1976; and account books for July, 1937 to December, 2002. The photographs include Nick and Nettie's wedding, their children Gail and David, their house, Lena Demchuk's 102 birthday party in 1996, and Elizabeth Sieminski (Demchuk). The artifacts are a small red plastic piggy bank labelled "Mike's Store", two oil paintings by Nick and Nettie Evasiuk, a pair of Sealtred plastic overshoes in their box, a pair of Trramps black leather laced boots in their box, a men's Monarch Knit hose box, and a tube of Ampollina Dye. There is also a book entitled "Athabasca and the world, environmental verses" by Nick Evasiuk, 1989 and a photograph of Nick and his friend, George Ryga, taken in Mexico in 1980.
17.01 Ludie Lewis donated a commemorative "Mike's Store" photo album created for Dave Evasiuk on his 57th birthday just two days before he passed away.

Anton Joseph Schinkinger fonds

The fonds consists of photographs of: Athabasca & District Board of Trade sign near Westlock (1948), Nick Evasiuk, pier on Tawatinaw Creek (1950s), Bob, Colin and Vince Preece; Anton (Tony) and Kurt Schinkinger, the first store and its replacement store built in 1975, Valentine (Val) Breckenridge, Riverside Recreation Area sign, 1971 parade photo and the Steve Berezan family. Tony wrote an article entitled "Reflections of the old swimming hole" and an article about his time in the navy. The artifacts are a postal scale, two photographs framed with an article from the Athabasca Echo newspaper of Aug.25, 1982 regarding the family business, and a plaque commemorating the closing of Schinkinger's Mens Wear in Feb. 1992. 22.12: Fourteen photos recording the ceremony opening secondary highway 813 in September, 1989, "The Gleaner," 1938 Athabasca Public School yearbook, program from 1961 50th anniversary, program from 1967 Centennial play, program from 1971 60th anniversary.

Dr. Josephine Mary Brown fonds

The fonds consists of 1 audio cassette recorded in 2001, 4 Depression Era glass plates, a plaque from the Trail North Foundation naming Dr. Brown Deputy Trail Master, 1980; a vase purchased from Mrs. George Kasper Johnson and a 1978 Athabasca dollar (a souvenir of the May 27-29, 1978 trip to the Grande Rapids). Added in 2005 is a booklet and a plaque naming Dr. Brown as one of the 100 Physicians of the Century in Alberta. There is a framed photograph of Dr. Brown while she was in practice and photos taken at the 2005 award ceremony. 21.04; handwritten personal letter dated May 3, 1989
