The fonds consists of 58 photographs; 3 certificates relating to Mel's involment with the Kinsmen, Chamber of Commerce and the Shriners; copies of documents describing Rodacker's Sales and Service with a collection of advertising cards; copies of news articles showing his involvement with Stock Car Racing; a get-well card signed by the members of the Red Devils hockey team; and an original document signed by guarantors agreeing to pay for the cost of a special train trip to bring Grande Prairie's Senior Hockey Team from Rycroft to Hythe for a league game; a map of the County of Grande Prairie showing land ownership, and a copy of Mel's obituary.

The records include photographs and documents from his time as a Boy Scout and student at St. Joseph High School; information and photographs about Exercise Sweetbriar, a joint Canadian and U.S. training exercise in the Yukon and Alaska; information and photographs of the Prairie Command Display taken from community to community in Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan; slides, photographs and paper artifacts from Roland’s tour of peace-keeping duty in Korea in 1953-1954; military service records and publications; information on Veterans' benefits claims; documents and images of projects from his post-military electrical career; correspondence and related records on his land holdings; and personal records and photographs of family, friends, and community life.

The fonds is divided into nine series: Early Life, Exercise Sweetbriar, Prairie Command Display, Korean Service, Military Service, Veterans' Benefits, Work and Business, Land, and Personal Life and Family.

The records have been arranged in primarily chronological order by the Archivist.

The fonds consists of 32 photographs, 1 souvenir issue of The Daily Herald Tribune featuring a Grande Prairie High School reunion in 1979; a program from the fourth Soap Box Derby in Dawson Creek in 1956, an obituary card for Russell Burgess and 20 membership cards belonging to C.R. Burgess. An accrual contained 2 ration booklets, a Dept. of Public WorksTime Book, a trade certificate, 3 electrician certificates, a radio licence, vehicle and voter registrations, insurance card and driver's licences, receipts, lists of toys, letters from his sister, Doris and his friends John Hendren and George Cave, and membership cards belonging to Russell Burgess. Also included are a scrap book of WWII clippings, 2 notebooks (Art and Chemistry) and a 1945 GPHS Yearbook belonging to Robert (Bob) Burgess.

The fonds consists of 51 cm of textual records, 115 photographs, 1 artwork by Robert Guest, and 9 forestry related maps. It includes: a series of photographs related to Jack Mantle showing early Grande Prairie and includes two photographs featuring soldiers from WW2; a series of correspondence from F.W. Schenk and photographs showing scenes from the Northern Alberta Railway (NAR) and various train accidents; a series of photographs, maps, employment records and daily journals from Dave Schenk during his career working for NAR and Alberta Forest Service; and a series of employment records from Melba Schenk during her time working as a weather observer for Alberta Forest Service.

The fonds has been arranged into the following series: Jack Mantle (1911-1940); F.W. Schenk (1917-1964); Dave Schenk (1924-2005); and Melba Schenk (1973-1977)

The fonds consists of one binder containing journal sheets with entries from April 20, 1929 to May 1, 1934. Besides recording the amount of each type of building material sold, the journal also records debits, credits, feet of lumber sold, name of customer, time sales, cash sales, cash received and cash paid out. The books are balanced at the end of each journal sheet.
