The fonds consists of certificates for Halley's Comet 1986 sighting, a copy of the site profile on the 1908 house in downtown Edmonton later converted into a restaurant called Vi's and information on the Oliver area. Another accrual in 2010 contained documents used for site profiles on the Canadian Furniture Company, Armstrong Drug Store, W.W. Arcade, Mike's News, Pantages (Strand) Theatre and the Princess Theatre.

The fonds consists of records belonging to Kenneth William MacKenzie. They include:

• An Address to Governor-General, Sir Gilbert John Elliott Murray Kynnymond [sic], 4th Earl of Minto, signed on behalf of Town of Edmonton, Kenneth William MacKenzie, September 1901;
• A petition requesting Kenneth MacKenzie to stand as Mayor of the City of Edmonton, 1904.

The fonds consists of materials created or collected by Louis Day of Edmonton and dating from 1907 to 1990. The fonds consists of correspondence and contracts relating to the purchase of fire fighting equipment for the Edmonton Fire Department between 1907 and 1913, as well as pension and group life insurance arrangements for the Fire Department between 1956 and 1974. The published works include the Fire Department's annual reports to Mayor and Council and reference materials for fire fighting.
