Part of Banff New Media Institute fonds
File contains an agenda for the program (and a biography for presenter Michael Kaplan). The summary of the workshop is as follows: "This workshop provided an intensive immersion into the storytelling skills needed for interactive media, both on- and off-line. We explored the development of multiple outcomes found in movies of the week, television series, Websites and CD-ROM projects. Through a survey of structures and planning techniques, a well though examination of the latest software, participants leaned how to plan and write humorous, factual and fictional works for the Web. They also learned about writing and adaptation skills for CD-ROM, DVD and strategy games. The workshop leader was Michael Kaplan, a writer for MSN, MGM and other interactive environments."
