Fonds consists of the following series for MsC 40: correspondence (1949-1984); drama (1969-1982); fiction (ca. 1952-1984); poetry (ca. 1951-1983); prose (1950, 1963-1983); published works (1951-1983); audio-visual (192-, 1954-1984); miscellaneous (1952-1984); works on Nowlan (1953-1984); and four small appendices (MsC 59, 61, 106, 119) consisting of material relating to A. Nowlan and acquired from other sources. MsC 59 consists of a sound recording Remembering Alden Nowlan, taped at a Theatre New Brunswick event paying tribute to A. Nowlan. MsC 106 is a draft of A gift to last, revised by co-author Walter J. Learning in 1989. MsC 119 consists of promotional material for a production of Frankenstein : the man who became god. Later accessions include: Acc 523/92.21 consisting of poetry manuscripts, notebooks, reviews and other material relating to publication or productions of A. Nowlan (October 28, 1968) to Catherine Lamb (Lady Cummins) with poem The last leper in Canada for possible publication in Stand; and MsC 328 consisting of 15 letters from A. Nowlan to Gerry Taylor and a contract relating to their collaboration on a proposed book about country music in Canada.

The fonds consists of materials collected during research for columns, including a history of the Tegler Trust, a copy of the Hudson's Bay anniversary publication, books including the "EPS: the First Hundred Years - A History of the Edmonton Police Service," badges and a copy of the "Edmonton Journal" (08/23/1973) on the James Cameron bomb threat edition, and a videotape titled "Canada in View: Living Ghosts" (CFRN April 1995).
  • MS 531.1: This fonds consists of Mair's research into the Edmonton Police Service, including his finished manuscript and drafts, files from the Edmonton Police Service, Newspaper clippings primarily from the 1980s, and his research into the Frank Willey and Robert Nevelle murders (both murder files are restricted).
  • MS 531.2: This fonds consists of Alex Mair's research into the history of the Edmonton Police Service, including transcripts and notes from interviews with various members of the EPS, as well as research notes and manuscript drafts.

The fonds consists of correspondence pertaining to his appointment as librarian, his article on the Calgary Public Library, a transcript of an interview with him, and an oral autobiography he recorded ca. 1975. Also includes interviews conducted by Donna Lohnes and Barbara Nicholson of three of Calhoun's associates, Aylmer Liesemer, Jim Pegg, and Kay Snow.

The fonds consists of the transcript of the unpublished novel La grande épinettière. Récit du Nord-Ouest canadien, by Alex Michelet, and four b&w photographs taken on the trail to La Calmette and at the family farm in Alberta. The novel depicts the life of a young teacher who establishes herself in a small community at Grande Coulée (today, Big Coulee) at the beginning of the Twentieth century and the life of French homesteaders in Alberta.

The fonds consists of records relating to Alfred Blyth's personal and professional life and includes correspondence, postcards, receipts, letterhead, souvenir pamphlets, posters, catalogues from photographic exhibitions, calendars depicting the work of Alfred Blyth, certificates and awards, newspaper clippings, samples of touched up photographs, large format exhibition prints, publications using Blyth's work, films depicting various Alberta industries and events, travel films, and negatives depicting various people, views, buildings, animals, and scenes mainly in Alberta, including many portraits and some photographs of Alfred Blyth's home and studios dating from 1939 to 1974. The fonds also includes finding aids that Alfred Blyth created for the photograph collection and an oral history with Alfred Blyth recorded by Karl H. Kaesekamp in 1972.

Donahue, Teddy Dunn, Frank Falconer, Judy Flax, Jane Gordon, Cynthia Graefe, Barbara Hunter, Joseph William Irwin, Doug and Heather Kariel, Jerry Little, Betty McDonald, Don McGladdery, Joseph Martynek, Marilyn Mol, Phylis Mort, Amanda and Erica Oldale, Viola Elizabeth Overholt (Jouston), Betty Pickett, Irene Robbins, Lydia Silkie, Kathleen Stafford, Linda Steppan, Robert Tannas, Kathy Traynor, David Yowney and Karen Zwarich. The students in a 1990/91 photograph of the Hutterite Colony School visiting the library are: Johnny, Rhoda, Debbie, Walter, Philip, Julia, Edward, Michelle, Steven, Aaron, and Albert Gross, Betty Stahl and Mrs. Phyliss Mort. Other materials transferred to the archives include an essay written by Nadine Molofy for the Correspondence School Branch in 1948-49 which also includes a photograph of W.H.Swift; the 1981 Canada census information on mother tongues spoken in the Athabasca area; and a program of the 3rd Spring Showcase of local talent library fundraiser in c2001. In 2003, photographs were taken when new carpeting was installed in the library and archives. A recent donation of planning materials for Athabasca Pottery Discovery Day, June 21, 2009 includes correspondence, budget, itineraries, media release, and poster proofs.
