The fonds consists of the professional and personal papers of Brigham Young Card, Professor Emeritus of the University of Alberta. The fonds is extensive, and includes research files, teaching files, reference and correspondence files as well as photographs and sound recordings. There is a great deal of information on educational sociology and its introduction as a field of study at the University of Alberta and in Western Canada generally. Other research areas represented in the records include Mormonism in Western Canada, community education, Metis in Alberta, morals and values studies, and Canadian scholarly publishing.
