This fonds contains records related to the Grimm, Vader, and Scott families. The material is largely concerned with time spent in Rycroft but this fonds also contains records created in Nebraska, Spirit River, and Calgary. The records consist of approximately 1500 photographs and negatives depicting farm life, school classes, locations, and people; newspaper clippings, pamphlets; posters; 2 family histories; 2 undated and unlabeled photograph albums; account books; and certificates.

The fonds has been arranged into the following series: Vader Family (1800-1980), Grimm family (1800-1980), and Ora and Edith [Vader] Grimm (1908-2008).

Fonds contains one series of audio recordings of interviews with Mount Royal faculty, staff, and students. Fonds also contains correspondence, book drafts, research notes, brochures and promotional material, newspaper articles, photographs, project proposals, timelines, and progress reports.
