The fonds consists of materials created by the Athabasca Echo newspaper between 1949 and 1957. The fonds consists of Christmas cards, cancelled cheques, cash receipt book, tax record book,employee time sheets, and petty cash book of the Athabasca Echo. The fonds also consists of 1101 photographs created between 1952 and 1972. There is a framed pen and ink sketch of each editor.

The fonds consists of a 1905-1907 business ledger; 8 photographs including: two storey original Grand Union Hotel, 2 Gagnon houses, Isaie and Charlie Gagnon, and Dr. Boulanger; the first six chapters, epilogue and appendices of the book "One Hundred Years in the Athabasca Country, a story and a memory of the Isaie (Ike) Gagnon family"; photocopies of 1903-1911 land transactions in Athabasca Landing. In 2011 a three page article on the Isaie Gagnon family was written by grandson George Marrinier.
