Jasper Fish and Game Association fonds

The fonds consists of of photographs from Jasper Fish and Game's Annual Banquet and Trophy Night [1970-1983]; the Annual Children's Fish Derby; the Jasper Fish and Game newsletters [1971-1977] ; newsclippings (various sources) relevant to the Association's mandate; certificates earned by the Association; two receipt books for membership subscriptions; photographs submitted for for the Jasper Fish and Game Association's annual photography contest. The newsletters touched on issues that were of importance to the membership including: various wildlife projects in the region; Parks Canada's fish stocking program data; local news items; announcements and upcoming activities; editorial comments and addresses from the executive members of Jasper Fish and Game.

The collection consists of photographs of the town of Pocahontas, Alberta and surrounding areas. Includes views of the town, it's residents, the post office, the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway station and the Pocahontas cemetary. Also includes views of the Jasper Park Collieries mine, mine buildings and employees (1910-1921); the Fitzhugh Lime and Stone Co. quarry (1911-1914); Miette Hot Springs (1929-1934); buildings at Carrot Creek (before Aug 1914) and the trail across Disaster Point (1909).

Otto Brothers fonds

The fonds consists of photographs related to the Otto brothers (Jack, Closson, Bruce) guiding and outfitting business, their family, friends, neighbours and clients that employed them to guide and outfit their hunting, scientific and club expeditions, including photographs from their trips with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the Alpine Club of Canada, James Oliver Curwood, and Dr. Charles Walcott of the Smithsonian Institution. The fonds also consists of calendars, note cards, and property leases related to the Otto brothers and their lives in Jasper (AB), Field (BC), and Golden (BC)
