Subseries consists of photographs of the 1988 Winter Olympic Games held in Calgary, Alberta from February 13 - 28, 1988. Subseries is arranged according to the events that Victor Post labelled on his materials.

Aerial photographs subseries

Subseries consists of vertical and oblique photographs of St. Albert and surrounding areas, including Sturgeon County and north Edmonton. Vertical aerials depict a view of St. Albert neighborhoods and streets. Oblique aerials include a view of buildings and businesses, parks and recreation facilities, schools, construction and development of streets and neighborhoods.

Papal stopover of Pope John Paul II

Subseries consists of photographs of Pope John Paul II's stopover in Edmonton in September of 1987 at the end of his US fall tour. The Pope spent the night of September 19 at a Grey Nuns residence in Edmonton before flying to Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories on September 20. The trip to Fort Simpson was a makeup date for the Pope's missed scheduled stop on his 1984 Canadian Tour.

Papal visit of Pope John Paul II

Subseries consists of photographs of the Edmonton portion of the Papal visit of Pope John Paul II to Canada in 1984. The Pope was scheduled to visit Quebec, Trois-Riveieres, Montreal, Moncton, St. John's, Halifax, Toronto, Winnipeg/St.Boniface, Edmonton, Fort Simpson, Vancouver, and Ottawa/Hull. The photographs cover his stay in Edmonton from September 16 - 18, 1984. Also included are itineraries for the Pope's entire visit of Western Canada.

Royal visit of King Hussein and Queen Noor of Jordan

Subseries consists of photographs of the Calgary and Banff, Alberta portion of the official state visit of King Hussein and Queen Noor of Jordan to Canada in October, 1989. The photographs in this subseries cover the King and Queen's stay in Alberta from October 13 - 16, 1989. Also included are itineraries and letters related to the royal visit.

Subseries consists of photographs of the Alberta portion of the official state visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Canada in 1990. The Queen toured Calgary and Red Deer in Alberta and the capital, Ottawa. The photographs in this subseries covers The Queen's stay in Alberta from June 27 - 30, 1990.

Also included are official itineraries for the royal visit.

Royal visit of Queen Elizabeth II and the Commonwealth Games

Subseries consists of photographs of the Alberta portion of the official state visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Canada in 1978. The Queen toured Newfoundland, Saskatchewan, and finally Alberta. The Queen was accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince Andrew, and The Prince Edward. On August 3, 1978, The Queen officially opened the 1978 Commonwealth Games held in Edmonton, which took place from August 3 - 12, 1978. The photographs in this subseries covers The Queen's stay in Alberta from July 31 - August 6, 1978.

Also included are official visitor's guides and information manual for volunteers at the Commonwealth Games.

Royal visit of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother

Subseries consists of photographs of the Alberta portion of the official state visit of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother to Canada in 1985. The Queen Mother visited Ontario, Saskatchewan, and finally Alberta. The photographs cover her stay in Alberta from July 16 - 19, 1985. Also included are itineraries for the Queen Mother's entire visit to Canada.

Subseries consists of photographs of the Alberta portion of the official state visit of Prince Andrew and Princess Sarah, The Duke and Duchess of York, to Canada in 1987. The Duke and Duchess toured cities in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and the Northwest Territories. The photographs in this subseries cover The Duke and Duchess' stay in Alberta from July 22 - July 25, 1987.

Royal visit of The Prince and Princess of Wales and the Universiade Games

Subseries consists of photographs of the Edmonton portion of the official state visit of The Prince and Princess of Wales to Canada in 1983. Prince Charles and Princess Diana, The Prince and Princess, toured cities in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Ontario, and finally Edmonton, Alberta.
On July 1, 1983, The Prince and Princess officially opened the 1983 Universiade Games held in Edmonton, which took place from July 1 - 11, 1983. The photographs in this subseries cover The Prince and Princess' stay in Edmonton from June 29 - July 1, 1983.

Also included is the athlete's village handbook and other paraphernalia from the Universiade Games.
