These include copies of speeches, reports, correspondence, council material from the Dominion Conference of Mayors held in Montreal in 1935, photographs of the inauguration of Overland Mail Route (1943), and Canadian Federation of Mayors and Municipalities conferences records.

The records relate to such subjects as the domestic and professional lives of women across the 20th century; Albertan legal history; Albertan religious life and history; the evolution of public morality from the late 19th to the 21st centuries; the evolution of etiquette, entertainment, and home economics in the same period; and military records related to both the First and Second World Wars, including Canadian involvement in the armed forces and life on the home-front.

John A.W. Langstone fonds

The fonds consists of material exclusively related to Langstone's wartime service as a chaplain in the Canadian Army. The material consists of correspondence, personnel records, records derived from the administration of Langstone's ministry, diaries, sermon notes, orders of service, Khaki University of Canada records, newspapers, magazines, and ephemera collected by Langstone in liberated zones of Europe.

The newspapers and magazines include issues from various English parish newsletters (including the Helmsley, Milford, St. Alban's, and St. Andrew's parishes), issue No. 9 of The Lowdown (Canadian military paper), a magazine published by candidates and staff at the Officers' Training Centre in Brockville, and V-E and V-J Day editions of The Maple Leaf (Canadian military paper).

The records also include material that Langstone used to teach courses at the Khaki University of Canada (an accredited school program provided for Canadian service personnel in Europe) and the Protestant Church School in the Netherlands, as well as detailed records related to the Officers' Training Centre in Brockville.

The ephemeral material consists of various maps, guides, and pamphlets collected by Langstone in liberated countries. This material was created by local administrations to be distributed amongst Allied personnel for the purpose of orientation and outreach.

The photographs depict various locations across Europe that Langstone visited. Several of these images are printed on postcard stock and many of them have notes or messages written on them by Langstone or other correspondents.

Buttons and Bows Square Dance Club fonds

The fonds consists of membership lists for the entire span of the group, newsletters, meeting minutes, registers of dance participants, financial statements, posters, flyers, correspondence, histories, and call sheets.

The newsletters include Buttons and Bows publications as well as publications from the Edmonton District Square Dance Association, the Alberta Square Dance Institute, the Alberta Square and Round Dance Federation, and the Canadian Square Dance Association. There is also correspondence from several of these organizations as well as from other clubs.

The histories were compiled by club members for various club anniversaries and consist of oral histories, recollections, and compendia of articles about club activities.

The photos are in albums arranged chronologically with all of the subjects meticulously identified. The badges were collected by club members from various dance that they attended, sister clubs, dance associations, and special events. The badges are arranged in polyethylene sleeves.

Verdun School District No. 587 fonds

The fonds consists of assessment and tax rolls for the school district for the years 1906-1915, daily student registers for 1905-1907, cash books for 1914-1920, and yearly administrative files for the years 1912-20, 1922-23, and 1925-37. These administrative files include correspondence, financial information, and grant certificates.
