Fonds contains the records created and collected by Comanor during his career as a social work administrator, a university professor and a social work consultant. His frequent involvement in conferences, symposiums, workshops and other training venues is reflected in the number of papers he presented and the bulk of records he accumulated from such events. The fonds is arranged into six series which reflect the main activities in Comanor's professional life. They are: 1)Early Career - Social Work Administrator; 2) Academic Career - Social Work Educator; 3) Conferences and Other Speaking Engagements; 4) Consultations; 5) Subject Files; and 6) Correspondence Files. Records consist of correspondence and memos, course outlines and examinations, program development notes, curriculum review reports, consultative project reports, conference planning notes, minutes, papers presented to conferences and other academic gatherings, statements presented to state and national committees investigating social issues, records of professional associations, conference programs, and newspaper clippings.
