The fonds consists of primarily textual material, most of which are published. These publications have been written and or edited by Sanford and include the following topics: The Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies (1923-1998); The History of Mountaineering in Canada; the Year of the Great Bear; Hans Schwarz; the Mountains of Canada; mountain climbing; Canada's elite national park mountain rescue service; the fonds also includes a transcript of a telephone interview with Willy Pfisterer. Also included in the fonds are two videocassettes containing historic images of early Jasper, including the social and natural history of unique locations within Jasper, Banff, and Yoho National Parks. The fonds also records pertaining to the first ascent of Mount Alberta by the Japanese Alpine Club (1925) (000.36.01); photographs taken during the Japanese Alpine Club's first ascent and of the club members; and of newspaper clippings regarding their success. Also included are the published autobiographies Yuko Maki and Yukio Mita who were among the Japanese members who were part of the 1925 expedition; a Japanese text book that references the historic ascent of the Japanese Alpine Club. The fonds also a collection of copies of the trapping diaries of Donald 'Curly' Phillips; correspondence between Phillips and Dr. J.M. Thorington including letters written between Thorington and Bert Wilkins, after the death of Phillips; a microfilm reel of Phillips' diaries. Also included are copies of correspondence between Thorington and Conrad Kain (000.36.02)

Fonds consists of the administrative and operational records created, accumulated, and used by the Environmental Services department at the City of Red Deer between 1963 and 2005.

The types of records included are flow regulation report for the Red Deer river, a photograph library (including miscellaneous Public Works and Environmental Services staff photos, yard waste and blue box program and fleet vehicles), customer satisfaction surveys, Environmental Advisory Board minutes, Waste Water Treatment Plant Annual reports, A Day in the Life at Public Works Video Cassette (VHS), and a Sewer Rate study.

No series assignment has been applied to the records in this fonds.

The fonds consists of 340 issues of the Northern Tribune newspaper, from June 30, 1932 to August 10, 1939.

The paper was published weekly every Thursday, all issues from June 30, 1932 to August 10, 1939 are within the fonds, with the exception of the following issues:
1932- Sept. 22, Dec 15
1934- Nov. 22, Nov. 29, all of December
1935- Sept. 26, Dec. 19
1936- Nov. 19
1937- Jan. 21
1938- Apr. 14

In addition to these issues not included within the fonds, the Dec. 22, 1932 issue is missing it’s front page and the Dec. 29, 1939 issue is missing a large potion of each page.

There are also two Special Issues published as second sections to the July 23, 1936 paper (Peace River Exhibit for the 4th Anniversary of the newspaper) and March 18, 1937 paper (Hotel Section).

The fonds consists of 52 issues of The Post, a weekly newspaper, from July 1976 to June 1977, excluding one issue from May 26, 1977. Although based in Fairview, on the north side of the Peace River, the paper includes news from the communities south of the Peace River between Watino and Spirit River. There are also regular columns written by community reporters: Rycroft Notes by Sandy Isaac, Blueberry Mountain by Arletta Hampton, Spirit River News by Rev. Charles King, Eaglesham News by Anne Donaldson, and Wanham News by Tara Foote. Community reports from north of the river include Bear Canyon, Berwyn, Bluesky, Cherry Point, Eureka River, Griffen Creek, Hines Creek, Whitelaw and Worsely.

Tr'ondek Hwech'in Final Agreement sous-fonds

This sous-fonds contains the government records of the Tr'ondek Hwech'in in the Yukon. These records were generated from the vastly growing and changing administrative and financial activities of the government leading up to the signing of the final agreement in 1998. The sous-fonds contains 16 series including: 1. General Provisions, 2. Enrollment, 3. Reserves and Land Set Aside, 4. Tenure and Management of Settlement Land, 5. Land Use Planning, 6. Heritage, 7. Water Management, 8. Fish and Wildlife, 9. Renewable Resources, 10. Non-Renewable Resources, 11. Economic Development Measures, 12. Tr'ondek Hwech'in Self-Government, 13. Dispute Resolution, 14. General Assemblies, 15. Band Council Resolutions and 16. Newsletters. Some of the records of the Tr'ondek Hwech'in were lost in the flood of 1979, the fire of the Tro Chu Tin Heritage Center (Band Hall) in 1991 and the fire at the Chief Isaac Memorial Center in 1996. The sous-fonds is arranged according to the chapters of the Tr'ondek Hwech'in Final Agreement.
