Collection illustrates the early development of movable type printing in Europe. Collection consists of printed books including a book of hours and a collection of Chaucer's works, as well as leaves from Bibles, hagiographies, liturgical texts, and works of history, literature, canon law, and botany.

Includes 31 snapshots of Lang, Mayor-Cooke and the rest of the company on board ship, and in locations enroute including Whitefisth Lake (Ontario), Winnipeg, Regina, and Edmonton; and 25 scenes along the route of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) across the country from Quebec City to the West Coast. Most of them are floral bouquets, but one is a portrait of an elderly man described as "Utenrikeminister Lavland". There is also a 1928 report from the Experimental Sub-Station at Beaverlodge, AB, and a 1920 letter from The Pellman Institute regarding a course of studies about which Olaf had enquired.
