Mrs. J Putters

Mrs. J. Putters behind her house in Grande Prairie. To the east is the house belonging to Mr. Clarke who was a member of the NWMP.

Putters' Electric

Light fixture display of the 1930s in Putters' Electric store. This store was located on Grande Prairie's Main Street beside the Chinese Laundry which was west of the Bergman (Dick) Shoe Repair - called Victory Shoe Repair during the War because of prejudice to Dick (a German immigrant) during WW11.

First Year Apprentice Training Students

Shops for Canadian Vocational Training were in the Drill Hall. The group pictured were returned veterans taking first year apprentice training (except second from the left - John Putters)

Grande Prairie High School

The east side of the Grande Prairie High School. On the left, to the north, is a relocated hut from the Army Barracks which was used as an industrial arts shop by the high school.
