The collection consists of photocopies of various records relating to Yukon Territory's involvement in World War 1. Included in the collection is correspondence regarding war trophies, members lists of Joe Boyle's Yukon Machine Gun Detachment and George Black's Yukon Infantry Company, magazine articles on Joe Boyle's and George Black's machine gun units, correspondence regarding George Black's Yukon Infantry Company, and other information regarding Yukon servicemen and war trophies. Also included is a colour laser copy of the 1st and 2nd Canadian Motor M.G. Brigade colours. The prints were produced from a deck of White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) playing cards. The centre of each card depicts scenes along the WP&YR and the Trail of '98 including the White Pass, White Pass City, Johnson Glacier, Skagway, Alaska, steamboats at Lake Bennett, pack trains on the White Pass Trail, Atlin Lake and Dawson City.

Fonds consists of films and copies of photographs and textual records created when Jack MacKenzie was working for the Geodetic Survey party in the Yukon. The photographs, taken by Jack and Ted Lawrence, include survey camps on the Carcross Road, at Judas Creek, near Morley Lake and near Rancheria, survey party crew members, survey sites such as Mount White, the Dawson Peaks, Mount Judas, and Mount Bryde. Photographs also include the Watson Lake signpost, the Whitehorse Inn and photographs of various activities the survey crew engaged in. Textual records include copies of letters Jack MacKenzie wrote to his family during his summers in the Yukon and provide descriptive observations about Mr. MacKenzie's impression of the Yukon, the nature of his work, his fellow survey crew members, recreational activities, wildlife, and general day-to-day activities. The map, on four photocopied pages with Jack MacKenzie's annotations, shows the location of survey camps and sites used for the survey's triangles and quadrilaterals. The original films document the Geodetic Survey crew members, their activities and work. Footage includes travel along the Alaska Highway, boating and fishing scenes, Teslin Lake, the crew at work, animals and the main street in Teslin.

Jack Meek fonds

The fonds consists of a manuscript written by Jack Meek in 1955, "A Survey of Conditions of the Indians of Northern B.C., and the Yukon Territory, for the Department of Anthropology, University of British Columbia". Meek discusses such things as community, households, family, education, religion and political participation etc. among the First Nations people of northern British Columbia and the Yukon (83/86). Also included in the fonds are three press releases entitled "The Cassiar Epicure", "Dominion Day at McDames Creek", and "The Pioneers of Lower Post", believed to have been written by Jack Meek, n.d. Three original photographs depict First Nations people at Old Crow, ca. 1950, and Ross River, and Harper Reed, Indian Agent on Dease River, 1936. A letter written by Jack Meek in 1990 explains the reports and the photographs (94/11).
