The fonds is very rich in correspondence which details life in southern Alberta, ranching, childhood, and the relationships between family members. It consists of: Oliver's correspondence and Treaty 8 trip diary (1900); Henrietta's diaries (1864, 1867), a few speeches and writings, correspondence, and Persons Case memorabilia; Alice's correspondence, diary (1940), and wedding records; Muir's diary (1897); Margaret's correspondence (very little); Amelia's correspondence and letters to the editor; Claude's ranching diaries (1905-1927) and correspondence (1894-1919); Laura's and Barbara's correspondence; Claudia's school records, diaries (1920-1928), and correspondence; Gard's school records, diaries (1920, 1926), and Persons Case memorabilia; extensive family photographs; genealogical charts; and miscellaneous documents of various ancestors.

The fonds consists of a scrapbook of newspaper clippings and musical programs compiled by Eileen as a young girl (1934-1940), which includes programs and reviews of her own musical activities as well as those of her contemporaries: Mary Tierney, Noel Cook (later Noel Taylor), Mary Lesingham Shortt, Evelyne Pearson, Kathleen Tierney, Odette de Foras, and orchestra conductors Grigori Garbovitsky and Jascha Galperin. Many of the musical events were held at the Grand Theatre. The fonds also includes a folder of Evelyne Pearson's clippings, programs, letters and photos (1925-1937), which were also in the possession of Eileen Atkinson.
