The fonds consists of materials created by the Athabasca School District 839 between 1903 and 1958. The fonds consists of minutes of school trustee meetings of Athabasca School District 839 from 1903-1945, correspondence,trustee nomination papers, reports of school inspectors and attendance officers, estimates, inventories, job applications, and financial records. There is a 1955 map of Athabasca School Division No.42, a copy of the 1937 Alberta School Act and Athabasca school registers from 1927-28, 1930 - 1935, 1941, 1942, 1943. The blueprints include the following schools: Ellscott, Calling Lake, Granville, Lahaieville, Perryvale, Rocky Ridge, Silver Fox, Smith, Spurfield, Twin Spruce as well as teacherages, toilets and a coal shed. There are partial sets of school registers for the following schools: Athabasca, Big Coulee, Boyle, Clover View, Crerar, Ellscott, Flat Creek, Forest, Forest View, Forfar, Gamefield, George Lake, Granville, Hondo, Meanook, Narrow Lake, Otter Creek, Parkhurst, Ranch, Rodger's Chapter, Silver Fox, Smith, Smoky Creek, South Athabasca, Willow Flat (09.36), Winding Trail, Warren,and Youngville.
