The fonds consists of a photograph album of images of family and friends of Ida Nesterud, primarily from Minnesota. The album was likely a gift from the Christmas of 1899. While little of the material seems to illustrate Alberta, the contents of the album serve to illustrate the different photographic processes in the 19th century, including cartes-de-visites, cabinet cards and tintypes.
