Elsie Inkster fonds

The fonds consists of twenty-two b&w photographs primarily taken in the area of Telegraph Creek and Dease Lake. The photographs show family members and friends as well as several shots of airplanes in the area. Most of the photographs were taken by Benny Nehass, brother of Elsie Inkster.

The fonds consists of original photographs primarily of Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) patrols and scenic views in the north. It includes photographs of Pasley's fellow officers, First Nations people, boats, dog sleds and RCMP posts. Specific locations include Herschel Island, Ogilvie, New Rampart House, Porcupine River, Rampart (Alaska), Sixty Mile Post, Baillie Island (N.W.T.), Dawson City and Whitehorse, Yukon. The fonds also includes a number of portraits.

The fonds consists of 114 copy negatives made from the original album. The photographs include views of a variety of buildings in Dawson City, the ferry tower, arctic explorer Vilhjalmur Stefansson, New York to Nome airplanes, Yukon Gold Company operations, Guggieville, Grand Forks, hydraulic mining, dredging, Discovery Day Parade, Chief Joseph of Moosehide, and coal mining near Carmacks.

The fonds consists of a photograph album of photographs taken in the Mayo, Yukon area during the Fourniers' years in Mayo, ca. 1914-1917. Photographs show the Minto Bridge, the Silver King mess house, roadhouse and cabin, sternwheelers and hunting scenes. Individuals shown in the photograph are Isaac Mallette, Eugene Fournier and Mark Evans. The photographs are identified, and Emile Fournier has added some typed notes for further identification.
