Oliver H. Johnson fonds

The fonds consists of the 1908-1909 homestead diary of Oliver H. Johnson. It provides a daily record of his activities as he broke land, built a house, barn, and other structures, interacted with his neighbours, including the Stones, Sinclairs, Fergusons, Bredins, Hardins, Smiths, Germaine, Arnold, Allie Brick, Mead & Grant, members of the Beaver First Nation, and others, and travelled back to Edmonton to join his family. The last few pages of the diary list recipes, drugs, groceries, dry goods, hardware, and accounts, some of which may date from his time as a storekeeper.

The fonds consists of a photograph of Stanley William Bird, and two letters which he wrote to his sister and father in 1918. The letters describe what was happening in the local area, and what he was doing. He mentions the 1918 murders, attending Sports day, and going hunting.

Jack & Betty Lowe fonds

The fonds consists of 36 photographs and 5 postcards collected by Jack and Betty Lowe on their trip into the Peace Country in 1929, on Jack's trip to the Peace in 1927, and from the trip of Betty's father (Mr. Zeigler) into the Peace Country in 1913. The photographs are glued into a 6 x 8 in. black album, and some are identified with accompanying notes.

Anne Popowich fonds

The fonds consists of an excerpt from Anne's journal, "My Journey to This Rich New Rich Land" which tells the story of her journey with her mother, Suzanne Kapusta, to Canada in order to meet her father, Andy, on a homestead in 1938. Chapter 2 tells about the family's decision to come north to the Flying Shot Lake area where Ann and John farmed and raised their family.

Harry Tuffill fonds

The fonds consists of photographs, postcards, and a publication from United Grain Growers. Of the 327 photographs, 110 portray surveying in the Peace Country from 1909 to 1911, 5 picture life on the Tuffill homestead, and the remaining 212 are of Mr. Tuffill’s service in WWI and family and photographs from England. There are also 72 postcards from Canada and abroad.

Kinderwater Family fonds

The fonds consists of 10 photographs of the Kinderwater Family. They include the Adolph & Anna Kinderwater family in Wisconsin, Frank and Pauline Kinderwater and their family in Buffalo Lakes, and son Paul and wife Agnes in Grande Prairie. There is also a photo of the children at Royal Banner School in 1940.

Sidney A. Connolly fonds

The fonds consists of two documents made out to Sidney Connolly from the Department of the Interior: an approval of a patent on NE 10-73-6-W6, dated June 9, 1915, and a grant for Placer Mining on Section 19-75-1-W6th, dated Nov. 23, 1921. The 2006 accrual consists of 3 photographs, a studio portrait of Pete Klassen, 2 postcard/photographs of Grande Prairie, 2 postcards of Alberta scenes, a letter from Pete Klassen, a copy of "Canada West" magazine and a Christmas postcard. Also included are Helen's written memories and a typed story of her life. The 2007 accrual consists of 3 postcards, one sent from Helen to Sidney and one from Mrs. Sexsmith to Helen, and 5 photographs including 2 of Sexsmith town and 2 of the Sexsmith children.
