Subseries consists of photographic prints, mainly of Southam. Includes posed studio portraits, as well as publicity photos, and photos of dancers from a collaboration Southam was involved in.
File consists of five photographs relating to "FastForward", a dance-music collaboration. Two feature the composers involved (including Southam), two feature dancers from Southam's piece ("Broken Symmetry", and one features dancers from "Body/Space/Desire". Also includes a cover letter from Dance Makers sent with the photographs.
Series consists primarily of material relating to Southam's career as a musician, composer, and supporter of the arts. Material in the series includes editing notes regarding recordings of her work, correspondence, brochures, posters, and other memorabilia.The series also includes material written about Southam and her career, including academic papers and press clippings.
File consists of three essays written by Jennifer Higgs while a student at the University of Toronto. Two deal with Ann Southam: "Just Mucking Around: A Preliminary Study of Ann Southam's Minimalist Works", and "Refusing to Tow the Line: Ann Southam and Electronic Music in Canada 1950s-1960s". The third essay relates to multicultural and ethnic groups in Nova Scotia.
File consists of exhibitions and reproductions of artwork by Suzuki. Including a reproduction of "Spatial View of Pond", an inspiration for one of Southam's pieces.
