Hugo and Mary Coli fonds

The fonds consists of photos of the 1959-60 Athabasca baseball team, 1948-49 Harvest Queen candidates, and Bill Blacklock and Hugo Coli by Athabasca Funeral Home; a 1962 list of electors for Pelican Portage; 2 reels of 8mm film taken when Hugo delivered ballot boxes in the Pelican area in [1955]. There is also a certificate for 10 shares purchased in Athabasca Clay Products in November, 1967.

The fonds consists of photographs of Athabasca citizens and scenes; the program for the second annual bonspiel of the Athabasca Curling Club; the prize list for the Athabasca and District Agricultural Association, 1918; the programme for the opening of Athabasca Public School in Feb., 1914; the deed of sale of Mr. Falconer's share of Athabasca Funeral Supply Co.to Harvey Cull in 1919; a mallet used for caulking scows; an Indian bead work moccasin and glove. Some of the subjects in the photographs include: Athabasca Curling Club [1912], SS Fort McMurray, Athabasca Canadian Northern train station, ferry on Athabasca River, view of Strathcona Street [1911] and [1940s], Athabasca Hospital 1922-1952, men lined up to purchase Hudson's Bay and CNR lots in 1911, Pelican Portage, Falconer Hardware Store on Skinner Street just after the fire of 1913, Northern News building [1911], Louis Menard's field of fall wheat, laying of corner stone for new public school in 1913, and a photo of Frank L. Falconer. The fonds consists of a 1905-1907 business ledger; 8 photographs including: two storey original Grand Union Hotel, 2 Gagnon houses, Isaie and Charlie Gagnon, and Dr. Boulanger; the first six chapters, epilogue and appendices of the book "One Hundred Years in the Athabasca Country, a story and a memory of the Isaie (Ike) Gagnon family"; photocopies of 1903-1911 land transactions in Athabasca Landing. In 2011 a three page article on the Isaie Gagnon family was written by grandson George Marrinier.

Anton Joseph Schinkinger fonds

The fonds consists of photographs of: Athabasca & District Board of Trade sign near Westlock (1948), Nick Evasiuk, pier on Tawatinaw Creek (1950s), Bob, Colin and Vince Preece; Anton (Tony) and Kurt Schinkinger, the first store and its replacement store built in 1975, Valentine (Val) Breckenridge, Riverside Recreation Area sign, 1971 parade photo and the Steve Berezan family. Tony wrote an article entitled "Reflections of the old swimming hole" and an article about his time in the navy. The artifacts are a postal scale, two photographs framed with an article from the Athabasca Echo newspaper of Aug.25, 1982 regarding the family business, and a plaque commemorating the closing of Schinkinger's Mens Wear in Feb. 1992. 22.12: Fourteen photos recording the ceremony opening secondary highway 813 in September, 1989, "The Gleaner," 1938 Athabasca Public School yearbook, program from 1961 50th anniversary, program from 1967 Centennial play, program from 1971 60th anniversary.
