Two certificates documenting the creation of Canadian Legion of the British Empire Service League Colinton and District No. 214: Branch in 1946 and Ladies Auxiliary in 1948.

These records consist of a copy of Fires of Spring on 16mm film and a DVD copy of the same title. Fires of Spring is a 1978 documentary produced by the University of Alberta about the use of controlled fires for agricultural management. The film specifically focuses on the use of controlled fires by First Nations people in northern Alberta and features interviews with members of the Cree, Beaver, Dene, and Chipewyan nations regarding the traditional use of fire in land management. The film also features several University of Alberta faculty members discussing the importance of the practice.

The disc features a 1962 interview with Hulda Brown (née Bansemer) regarding her experiences in the Frank Slide of 1903. The interview was broadcast as part of a series entitled “Interesting People of Victoria” on Radio CJVI on January 20, 1962, based out of British Columbia.

The item consists of planning and outcome documents including Introduction, Project Description, Participants & Employment Outcomes, Financial Statement, Observations & Recommendations, and an Appendix which includes newspaper articles, evaluations, work rotations and the practicum agreement. Also included are two black and white photos of the graduation ceremony.
