The fonds consists of two series that reflect the political life of Dick Macnaugton. Series I consists of correspondence between Dick Macnaughton and federal politicians concerning the Meech Lake Accord and Bill C-72. Included are letters from William Vander Zalm, Clyde Wells, Preston Manning, Gary Filmon, Joe Ghiz, John Buchanan, Don Getty, Brian Mulroney, and Joe Clarke. Series II consists of newletters from organisations that aimed to protect English in Canada. The newletters include the Alliance for the Preservation of English in Canada, Bilingualism Watch, and Language Matters.
