Fonds consists of material relating to Southam's professional life, and personal interests. The fonds is divided into ten series which reflect the many items found in fonds. Materials in the fonds include recordings (both by Southam and by others), scores (both by Southam and others), programmes, articles about Southam, photographs (personal and professional), material used by Southam in mixed-media presentation, and other material.
Series consists of one subseries (containing scores annotated by Southam), and various scored kept by Southam. The scores are by third parties and may relate to friends/colleagues/teachers of Southam.
File consists of scores for "20 leichte Stüke aus dem Notenbuche der Anna Magdalena Bach", "Inventionen", "Walter Rummel Adaptations of Bach", "Klavierübuung IV. Teil", "French Suites for the Piano" (includes doodling and a self-portrait of Ann in a dunce cap on the front), "Klavierübuung I. Teil","Wohltemperiertes Klavier I and II", "Six English Suites", "Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue", "Seven Toccatas", "Italian Concerto", and two copies of "Six Little Preludes for Piano Solo". All of the scores contain at least some annotations by Southam.
